Mission

We conduct interdisciplinary research from detailed process-level studies to comprehensive landscape-level studies in both aquatic and terrestrial Arctic ecosystems. We communicate our research to the scientific community, the public and policy makers focusing on increasing their knowledge about climate and environmental change related impacts on Arctic environments. We provide a scientific platform for research, teaching and public outreach in Abisko, serving a key role in Umeå University´s activities in the Arctic.
