Research Summary
I am a terrestrial ecologist with a specific interest on herbivore-plant-soil interactions and their impacts on ecosystem’s biogeochemical cycles. I am interested in how climate changes and nutrient availability control these interactions. As study systems, I use arctic-alpine tundra and mire ecosystems. In my current position, I will expand the range of ecosystems to boreal forests and mires ecosystems. I work currently as a postdoc researcher in the University of Oulu and am a visiting researcher at the University of Lapland. The focus of my research is nutrient dynamics in running waters in the Arctic which means that my I integrate ecology, physical geography and chemistry. I am interested in drivers of productivity and biogeochemical interactions between terrestrial and aquatic environments.
