Pia Raker

I have always been interested in botany and plant ecology especially in northern ecosystems. During my studies in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation in Greifswald (Germany) these interests have even been intensified. I then found the internship in the Nuolja Plant Phenology Project which gives me the opportunity to learn more about plants and their development during the growing season in an arctic environment as well as how they adapt to the rough conditions of this landscape. It is very interesting for me to get some insight in how field work in a research station is done and to experience the work in an international field crew.
